Waterways Committee · Meeting of August 25, 2026
Barnstable Waterways Committee backed Craigville bridge repairs and approved a larger boat for a Cotuit mooring. The committee voted 4-0 to recommend approval of the Department of Public Works plan to repair the Craigville Beach Road Bridge, with work planned between Nov. 1 and April 30 starting in early 2027 and one lane of alternating traffic. Members then voted 4-0 to grant Alicia Secor a one-time exemption for a boat over 40 feet on her Cotuit mooring, after Deputy Harbor Master Jay Horn said "several vessels" nearby already exceed that length.
Harbor Master Brian Taylor said 25 people remain on the Prince Cove Marina waitlist, with a lottery planned within six months, and a fee workshop was set for Oct. 6 at 6 p.m.
