Airport Commission · Meeting of October 27, 2026
BARNSTABLE — The Cape Cod Gateway Airport Commission acknowledged an open-meeting violation and will redo airport manager finalist interviews in public on Nov. 9. Commissioner Bearwith told the board the Oct. 6 interviews, held in executive session, "should have taken place in public session in order to comply with the open meeting law." The Commission separately approved, by unanimous voice vote, a fiscal 2027-32 Capital Improvement Plan presented by Bob Mallard of Airport Solutions Group, plus parking lot management and parking-access-control RFPs. Airport Manager Mike Nelson reported fiscal 2026 revenue of about $16 million against expenses of $11.8 million, an "$4.2 million surplus," with reserves now certified at $19.5 million.
A quarterly noise report showed one West Yarmouth household generated 1,767 of the quarter's 1,885 total complaints, or 93.7 percent.
